White washing the brick wall

This was a fun project to complete! I set myself up in the living room (who better to inspire me than my good friend Jojo) and began testing out the whitewash.

I had done some research on techniques of how to white wash (3 parts water to 1 part paint; 2 parts water to 1 part paint, etc) but after testing out the various ratios I had seen, Chris and I decided that we like the full painted option the best. This helped with reducing the amount of red and black coming through from the original color of the brick.

So to the wall I went! I used Behr Paint color match Benjamin Moore Simply White.

The project took two coats of paint and we still have some left over. We waited to install the third wall until it was time to demo the countertop and backsplash! I am excited to finish sharing this project!

xoxo,

L
